The Jet suit from Gravity Industries has turned the dream of Jetpack Human Flight into a reality. Their innovative jet suit design allows us to imagine what movie-like flying personal transportation could become a reality in the future.

From imagination to flight suit:

Founded in 2017 by Richard Browning, Gravity Industries is making private flying a reality. This jetpack had a large jet engine on its back and a pair of miniaturized jet engines on each arm. According to Gravity Industries, the jetpack parts of the gravity jet suit used Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) for precise production. This 3D printing method uses the movement of a laser to melt or ‘sinter’ metal powder layer-by-layer.

Pushing the limits of Jetpack Human Flight

Gravity Industries is actively testing jet suits to accumulate important data for various uses. Gravity Industries demonstrates the ability to reach the location of an injured person quickly in search and rescue demonstrations. Also, military purposes like high-speed maneuvering and high-point occupancy are making progress. Jet suits are expected to have many other practical applications.

Innovation and future indicators: Jetpack Human Flight

Gravity Industries’ jet suit has advanced technology and gained a lot of flight data, but it is not resting on its laurels and is testing out other possibilities. The sport of jet suit racing is currently rapidly growing in popularity. The development of data and technology obtained here is expected to have a similar effect on F1 racing. Just as F1 racing has developed the automobile industry effectively, we are excited to see whether the technology and data of jet suit racing can lead to new products in human flight.
